#4. When shaking someone’s hand, be firm and look them in the eye.

The handshake is an opportunity to take control of an introduction.  A firm grip and eye contact are not only gestures of confidence, but the proper things to do.  The same rules apply to making a toast, from Cheers! to the being the best man.  Project your voice and look your audience in the eye.
